Does everyone connect with God the same?

In this lesson we will learn about what I means to connect personally with God and what are the different things that impact and influence how we do that.

Before Starting this class fill out the questionnaire linked below.

  • Where do you find yourself in the four spirituality quadrants? Have you ever felt like that has shifted over time? Where might God be calling you to explore different ways of connecting with Him?

  • How does the heart of surrender change the way you might approach your spiritual disciplines?

  • How comfortable are you with solitude and silence? How might God call you to lean more into those disciplines?

Prayer of Abandonment

Consider using this prayer over the course of the next few days or pray it right now and invite God to expand your love for Him.

Father,

I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you:

I am ready for all, I accept all.

Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures.

I wish no more than this, O Lord

Into your hands I commend my soul;

I offer it to you

with all the love of my heart,

for I love you, Lord,

and so need to give myself,

and with boundless confidence,

for you are my Father.
